R438-15-12. Access to Medical Records

(1) The department shall have access to the medical records of a newborn to identify the health care provider or any reason an appropriate specimen was not collected or to collect missing demographic information. (2) The institution shall enter the newborn screening form number, also known as the Birth Record Number, into the Vital Records database and the Newborn Hearing Screening database.
