R500-3-15. Legal Counsel

(1) The state unit on aging shall provide for the services of a legal services developer. (a) A legal services developer shall ensure that legal representation is available for a resident by a licensed attorney not employed by the state unit on aging. (b) A legal services developer may not represent or provide legal advice to any local area agency, local ombudsman entity, or resident. (2) The Utah Office of Attorney General shall represent and provide legal advice to the state unit on aging and the office or any designated representative of the office. (3) The Utah Office of Attorney General may not represent or provide legal advice to any local area agency.
