§ 80-5-402. Community-based programs.

(1) (a) The division shall operate residential and nonresidential community-based programs to provide care, treatment, and supervision for minors committed to the division by juvenile courts. (b) The division shall operate or contract for nonresidential community-based programs and independent living programs to provide care, treatment, and supervision of paroled juvenile offenders. (2) The division shall adopt minimum standards for the organization and operation of community-based programs for minors. (3) The division shall place minors committed to the division for community-based programs in the most appropriate program based upon the division's evaluation of the minor's needs and the division's available resources in accordance with Sections 80-6-703 and 80-6-804.
