9VAC25-610-370. Control of naturally flowing wells

The owner of any well that naturally flows, in any portion of the Commonwealth, shall either: 1. Permanently abandon the well in accordance with the Virginia Department of Health's Private Well Construction Regulations; or 2. Equip the well with valves that will completely stop the flow of groundwater when it is not being applied to a beneficial use.
