Toll Free or Collect Telephone Number for Claims

[Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities & Health Care Administration] Vermont Insurance Division BULLETIN 101 Toll Free or Collect Telephone Number for Claims January 27, 1992 Pursuant to Regulation 79-2, which requires insurers to provide claimants with a toll-free telephone number or a telephone number which they may call collect, insurers currently writing business in Vermont should furnish the Department with the appropriate telephone number for claimants to contact the insurer. In addition, insurers should provide the Department with the name of the insurer's claims managers, the lines or area of insurance for which they are responsible and a telephone number at which the Department may contact them. Insurers should provide this information to the Department by March 1, 1992.
