WAC 110-30-0050. Who may receive child protective services?

Children and families may receive child protective services when there is an allegation that a child has been abused or neglected: (1) By a parent, legal custodian, or guardian of the child; (2) While attending the Washington center for deaf and hard of hearing youth; (3) While attending the state school for the blind; (4) In a state-operated facility; (5) In a DCYF or DSHS licensed or certified facility including, but not limited to: (a) Substance use disorder treatment facilities licensed under chapter 71.24 RCW that treat patients on a residential basis; and (b) Entities that provide behavioral health services on a residential basis; (6) By persons or agencies subject to licensing under chapter 74.15 RCW, including, but not limited to: (a) Host homes; and (b) Individuals employed by or volunteers of such facilities; and (7) In residential private schools.
