WAC 182-556-0200. Chiropractic services for children

(1) The medicaid agency covers chiropractic services for clients age 20 and younger only. Providers must follow the rules for the early period screening, diagnosis, and treatment (EPSDT) program, see chapter 182-534 WAC. (2) To be paid, chiropractic services must be: (a) Provided by a chiropractor licensed in the state where services are provided; (b) Within the scope of the chiropractor's license; and (c) Limited to: (i) Chiropractic manipulative treatments of the spine; and (ii) X-rays of the spine. (3) Chiropractic services are paid according to fees established by the agency using methodology set out in WAC 182-531-1850 .
