WAC 197-11-500. Purpose of this part

This part provides rules for: (1) Notice and public availability of environmental documents, especially environmental impact statements; (2) Consultation and comment by agencies and members of the public on environmental documents; (3) Public hearings and meetings; and (4) Lead agency response to comments and preparation of final environmental impact statements. Review, comment, and responsiveness to comments on a draft EIS are the focal point of the act's commenting process because the DEIS is developed as a result of scoping and serves as the basis for the final statement.
