WAC 246-244-050. Storage precautions

(1) Each source of radiation, except accelerators, shall be provided with a storage and/or transport container. Such containers shall be utilized. The container shall be provided with a lock (or tamper seal, for calibration sources) to prevent unauthorized removal of, or exposure to, the source(s) of radiation. Such locks shall be used each time the source of radiation is placed in the storage/transport container. (2) Sources of radiation shall be stored in a manner which will minimize danger from explosion and/or fire.
