WAC 246-329-005. Scope and purpose

(1) These rules implement chapter 18.46 RCW which requires the department of health to set minimum health and safety standards for birthing centers. (2) Applicants and licensees must meet the requirements of this chapter and other applicable state and local laws. (3) This chapter does not apply to services provided by persons exempt from requirements of chapter 18.46 RCW. (4) A birthing center may not provide services unless the birthing center is licensed under this chapter.
