WAC 246-359-020. Powers and duties of the department of health

The department of health: (1) Is authorized and directed to enforce all the provisions of this chapter, according to the laws as enacted by the Washington state legislature. (2) Has the power to issue written interpretations of this chapter as long as the interpretations are in conformance with the intent and purpose of this chapter and the regulated community is informed of these interpretations. (3) May adopt and enforce rules and supplemental regulations to clarify the application of the provisions of this chapter consistent with the intent and purpose of this chapter.
