WAC 246-360-040. Water supply and temperature control

The licensee must: (1) Ensure that the water supply is from an approved source as specified in chapter 246-290 or 246-291 WAC; (2) Ensure that the plumbing inside the transient accommodation that provides potable water is free of any actual or potential cross connections with any systems that could be a source of nonpotable liquid, solid, or gas that could contaminate the potable water supply by backflow; (3) Provide hot and cold water under adequate pressure accessible to guests at all times when the lodging unit is rented; (4) Provide sinks and bathing fixtures used by guests with hot water at 110 degrees plus or minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit accessible at all times when the lodging unit is rented; and (5) Label nonpotable water supplies at all accessible connections and valves "unsafe for drinking or other domestic use."
