WAC 246-841A-407. Medication assistant certification endorsement

Nursing assistants-certified with the required experience, training, and successful completion of competency evaluation as described in WAC 246-841A-586 through 246-841A-595 may apply for a medication assistant certification endorsement. This endorsement expands the scope of the nursing assistant-certified working in a nursing home setting, allowing the nursing assistant-certified to perform certain medication administration tasks and prescriber ordered treatments under the direct supervision of a designated registered nurse.
