WAC 246-921-105. Anesthesiologist assistant—Requirements for licensure

(1) An applicant for licensure as an anesthesiologist assistant must submit to the commission: (a) A completed application on forms provided by the commission; (b) Proof the applicant has completed a CAAHEP accredited commission-approved anesthesiologist assistant program and successfully passed the NCCAA examination; (c) All applicable fees as specified in WAC 246-921-990 ; and (d) Other information required by the commission. (2) The commission will only consider complete applications with all supporting documents for licensure. (3) Internationally trained individuals do not currently have a pathway to licensure as an anesthesiologist assistant due to ineligibility for the certifying exam offered by NCCAA. Should an exam become available the internationally trained individual may petition the commission for licensure.
