WAC 246-921-120. Exemption from licensure — Qualified physician assistant pathway

(1) A physician assistant may practice medicine within the full scope of an anesthesiologist assistant without requiring a separate license under chapter 18.71D RCW if the physician assistant: (a) Fulfills of the practice, education, training, and licensure requirements specified in WAC 246-918-080 ; (b) Has graduated from a commission-approved program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) that is specifically designed to train anesthesiologist assistants as required in WAC 246-918-055 ; (c) Has successfully passed and maintains certification through the National Council on Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants; and (d) Is supervised according to the requirements in this chapter and chapter 18.71D RCW by an anesthesiologist licensed under chapter 18.71 , 18.71B, or 18.57 RCW.
