WAC 246-929-100. Certification of a peer support specialist

An applicant for a peer support specialist certificate shall submit to the department: (1) An application on forms provided by the department; (2) An attestation that the applicant self-identifies as: (a) Having one or more years in recovery from a mental health condition, substance use disorder, or both; or (b) The parent or legal guardian of a youth who is receiving or has received behavioral health services; (3) Official certificate(s) of completion of a peer training course or an approved apprenticeship program as outlined in WAC 246-929-130 ; (4) Verification of meeting the supervised experience requirements under WAC 246-929-150 on forms provided by the department; and (5) The fee(s) required under WAC 246-929-990 .
