WAC 246-945-012. Prescription refills

(1) A prescription for a controlled substance listed in Schedule II cannot be refilled. (2) A prescription for a controlled substance listed in Schedule III, IV, or V may be refilled a maximum of five times as indicated by the prescriber. The prescription will expire six months after the date of issue pursuant to WAC 246-945-011 even if there are refills remaining. (3) A prescription for a noncontrolled legend drug may be refilled as indicated by the prescriber in accordance with RCW 18.64.520 . There is no limit on the number of refills, but the prescription will expire after twelve months from the date of issue pursuant to WAC 246-945-011 .
