WAC 284-170-443. Provider contract terminations — Notice requirements — General standards

(1) This section applies to any contract termination other than those under RCW 48.43.732 . (2) Each carrier must make a good faith effort to assure that notice of a termination is provided at least 30 days prior to the effective date of the termination to all enrollees who are patients seen on a regular basis by the provider or facility whose contract is terminating, irrespective of whether the termination was for cause or without cause. (3) When a termination provides less than 30 days notice to the carrier or provider, a carrier must make a good faith effort to assure that written notice of termination is provided immediately to all enrollees.
