WAC 296-15-480. When a self-insured claim is protested

When must a self-insurer submit a worker’s written protest or appeal to the department? A self-insurer must submit a written protest by a worker to the department within five working days of receipt. The date the protest is received by the self-insurer is considered the date the protest is received by the department.
