6121-00 Acute care hospitals - Without a fully implemented safe patient handling program (to be assigned only by the hospital underwriter) Applies to establishments that meet the definition of an acute care hospital contained in WAC 296-17-35203 (7) but that are not using the required patient lifting and moving equipment as part of a fully implemented safe patient handling program as defined in WAC 296-17-35203 (7)(c). This classification contemplates all necessary and usual employments found in hospitals including, but not limited to, admissions, clerical, and sales staff, medical professionals, pharmacy staff, dietitians and food preparation staff, and laundry, housekeeping, custodial and grounds keeping staff.
