WAC 296-23A-0450. What cases does the department exclude from base price calculations?

The department excludes the following types of cases from base price calculations: • Transfers; • Statistical outliers; • Length of stay equal to zero; • Psychiatric, substance abuse and rehabilitation DRGs; • Out-of-state hospitals; and • Other hospitals and services designated as exempt from DRG payment rates. • Transfers; • Statistical outliers; • Length of stay equal to zero; • Psychiatric, substance abuse and rehabilitation DRGs; • Out-of-state hospitals; and • Other hospitals and services designated as exempt from DRG payment rates.
