WAC 296-307-59605. Designate a program administrator

Exemption: The employer does not need to designate a program administrator if employees use only filtering-facepiece respirators and do so only as voluntary use. Definition: Voluntary use . Respirator use that is requested by the employee AND permitted by the employer when NO respiratory hazard exists. The employer must designate a program administrator who has overall responsibility for the employer's program and has sufficient training or experience to: (1) Oversee program development and coordinate implementation. (2) Conduct required evaluations of program effectiveness outlined in WAC 296-307-60005 .
