WAC 308-10-005. Authority and purpose

(1) The purpose of this chapter is to establish rules for the department of licensing to implement the requirements of the Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW. (2) The department adopts these rules to provide full access to public records concerning the conduct of government, mindful of individuals' privacy rights. The department is guided by the provisions describing its purpose and interpretation when carrying out responsibilities under chapter 42.56 RCW.
