WAC 332-14-090. Coal mining leases—Environmental analysis

The department may condition or deny a coal mining lease based upon analysis of potential adverse environmental impacts. If a coal mining lease is awarded at public auction and is subsequently denied based upon potential adverse environmental impacts, all bid deposits will be refunded.
