WAC 332-24-660. Approved isolation, reduction, or abatement—Relief of liability

Last amended: 1987Year: 2026Length: 111 wordsOfficial source
The owner(s) and/or person(s) responsible for an extreme fire hazard may identify, in writing, the procedures, or the natural or other processes which were taken to abate, isolate or reduce the extreme fire hazard and request the department to declare, in writing, whether the area does or does not constitute an extreme hazard. Absence of such a request on the part of the owner(s) and/or person(s) responsible for an extreme fire hazard will not prejudice their defense in the event of a fire. As an alternative, the owner(s) and/or person(s) responsible may implement a plan of increased protection, which has received prior written approval of the department, for the specific location.
