WAC 388-107-0360. Medication refusal — Antipsychotics

(1) When a resident who is being administered antipsychotic medication, chooses to not take his or her medications after two or three attempts, the enhanced services facility must: (a) Respect the resident's right to choose not to take medication; (b) Document the time, date and medication the resident did not take in the medical record; and (c) Notify the physician within eight hours of the refusal. (d) Notify the DSHS case manager within twenty four hours of the refusal.
