The enhanced services facility must: (1) Report any staff person or resident with TB symptoms or a positive chest radiograph to the appropriate health care provider in accordance with chapter 246-101 WAC; (2) Follow the infection control and safety measures as suggested in the 2003 CDC Guidelines for Environmental Infection Control in Health-Care Facilities ( http://www.cdc.gov/MMWR/preview/MMWRhtml/rr5210a1.htm ), or as hereafter amended); (3) Ensure that staff persons caring for a resident with suspected TB comply with the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act standard for respiratory protection found in chapter 296-842 WAC.
