WAC 388-107-0880. Dining, dayrooms, and resident activity areas

(1) The facility must provide one or more rooms designated for resident dining and activities that is: (a) Well lighted; (b) Well ventilated; (c) Adequately furnished; (d) Large enough to accommodate all residents; and (e) Large enough to accommodate all resident activities. (2) The facility must design space for dining rooms, dayrooms, and activity areas for resident convenience and comfort and to provide a homelike environment. The facility must: (a) Ensure these rooms or areas are exterior rooms with windows that have a maximum sill height of thirty-six inches; (b) Provide space for dining, day use, and activities with a minimum of one hundred fifty square feet or combined total of thirty square feet for each licensed bed, whichever is greater; (c) Design any multipurpose rooms to prevent program interference with each other; and (d) Provide adjoining or adjacent storage spaces for all activity and recreational equipment and supplies.
