WAC 388-842-0070. What are the fire drill requirements for providers?

(1) The provider must conduct a fire drill at least once each month at varying times of the day and night so that staff on all shifts practice the procedures with the clients they support. (2) The provider must maintain a written record on the premises that indicates the date and time each fire drill is completed. (3) If a provider supports a non-ambulatory client, the provider must consult with and follow the Washington state patrol/fire protection bureau (WSP/FPB) protocol for simulated fire drills.
