The nursing home must ensure doors to: (1) Resident rooms provide a minimum of forty-four inches clear width; (2) Resident bathrooms and toilet rooms are a minimum of thirty-two inches clear width for wheelchair access; (3) All resident toilet rooms and bathing facilities open outward except if doors open directly into a resident occupied corridor; (4) Toilet rooms and bathrooms have single action locks, and a means of unlocking doors from the outside; (5) Occupied areas do not swing into corridors; and (6) All passages are arranged so that doors do not open onto or obstruct other doors while maintaining resident dignity.
