WAC 478-116-020. Objectives of parking and traffic rules

The objectives of these rules are: (1) To regulate, protect, and control pedestrian and vehicular traffic on the campus of the university; (2) To ensure access at all times for emergency vehicles and equipment; (3) To minimize traffic disturbances; (4) To facilitate the operations of the university by ensuring access to its vehicles; (5) To maximize the use of the limited campus parking resource; (6) To protect state property; and (7) To encourage and support travel to the campus by means other than single occupancy vehicle (SOV).
