WAC 110-145-3390. Sleeping areas and equipment in OYSs

Facilities licensed as OYSs: (1) Must accept the use of sleeping equipment that is personally provided by the youth, unless it is a health or safety risk; (2) May use common sleeping areas for children and youth in care instead of bedrooms, as long as they: (a) Provide barriers to each youth for privacy or separation from other youth during sleeping hours; (b) Evaluate youth's requests to move to a different sleeping location and accommodate if safety, space, and supervision allows; and (c) Separate youth younger than 18 years old from youth 18 through 20 years old by having either: (i) Personnel supervise open space; or (ii) Physical barriers to prevent contact.
