ins
The Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI)
has implemented Online Premium Tax for Insurance (OPT
ins
) for producers/agents filing and paying Wisconsin surplus lines taxes. OPT
ins
is a product of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC)
and has been developed to facilitate the submission of forms and payments.
What does this mean for you?
OPT
ins
will make filing faster and easier. It allows you to ensure that both the forms and payments are received together and on time. If no tax is due, $0.00 filings are still required. A transaction fee is assessed at the time of filing with a $1.00 minimum to a $10.00 maximum.
What are the next steps?
