General pump, motor and wiring installation requirements. (1) Installation location. All nonsubmersible pump motors and all electrical controls shall be located above grade and protected from flooding, except as allowed for below grade booster pumping stations in s. NR 811.80 (3) . (2) Motor, wiring and electrical controls. All exposed wires shall be encased along their entire length and otherwise installed in a manner to prevent contamination of the water supply. All motors, wiring, and electrical controls shall be installed in conformance with all applicable state and local electrical code requirements.
