Load ratings

Load ratings. Load ratings. Each bridge or tunnel required to be inspected under this chapter shall be rated to determine its safe load−carrying capacity. Load ratings must be completed by the maintaining authority and reported to the department as soon as practical, but no later than 90 days after the initial inspection and when a change is identified that warrants a re-rating such as changes in condition, reconstruction, new construction, or changes in dead or live loads. Load ratings shall be determined in accordance with the AASHTO manual and the Wisconsin Bridge Manual.
