Words and phrases defined.

(1) Words and phrases defined in s. 340.01 are used in the same sense in this chapter unless a different definition is specifically provided. (2) In this chapter: (af) “Former military vehicle” means a vehicle, including a trailer but excluding a tracked vehicle, that was manufactured for use in any country’s military forces. (b) Notwithstanding s. 340.01 (42), “owner” means, with respect to a vehicle that is leased to a lessee for a period of one year or more, the lessee of the vehicle for purposes of vehicle registration under this chapter.
