§3903(d)(2) Of The Federal Risk Retention Act Of 1986, Requiring Purchasing Groups To Give Notice To State Insurance Commissioners

WEST VIRGINIA INFORMATIONAL LETTER NO. 61 APRIL 1989 TO: PURCHASING GROUPS REGISTERED IN WEST VIRGINIA In Section 3903(d)(1) of the Federal Risk Retention Act of 1986, Purchasing groups are required to give notice to State Insurance Commissioners of intent to do business in the Commissioner’s state and such notice must contain certain specified information. Section 3903(d)(2) states: . . . Such purchasing group shall notify the commissioner of any such State as to any subsequent changes in any of the items provided in such notice. Failure to notify the Insurance Commissioner of the State of West Virginia of any such changes and failure to return required forms and filings will result in your group being removed from our list of registration. The Commissioner is particularly concerned with the failure of purchasing groups to file notice of changes of address. If your group has had any changes or has not returned any required forms, please notify this Department and remit the forms as soon as possible. Such notice of changes and forms should be sent to the attention of John M. Collins, Director/Chief Examiner, Financial Conditions Division.
