May, 1998 WEST VIRGINIA INFORMATIONAL LETTER No. 109-A TO: ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES LICENSED TO TRANSACT ACCIDENT AND SICKNESS BUSINESS IN WEST VIRGINIA AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES RE: SOLICITATION OF MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT POLICIES TO PERSONS ELIGIBLE BY REASON OF AGE TIME FRAME FOR OBTAINING MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT APPLICATION The purpose of this informational letter is to place interested parties on notice that the policy regarding the time frame for obtaining medicare supplement applications set forth in Informational Letter No. 109 has been revised. Agents may write Medicare Supplement applications on individuals thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of their Medicare eligibility.
