Ch. 7, § 1. Significant Exposure to Blood or Body Fluids

Following a documented exposure of a health care worker to blood or bodily fluids of a patient that could lead to infection of a communi- cable disease which is capable of transmission by blood or other body fluids, a health care provider, worker or professional, acting within his scope of practice, may order an appropriate test to be per- formed on a specimen from the patient by a duly licensed and accredited laboratory.
