AID is providing a public comment period for proposed revisions to the DSG for the Transparency Initiative. Proposed revisions to the DSG include: • Aligning with Common Data Layout; • Including institutional values to inpatient-only fields; • Adding ZIP4; • Adding a point of origin appendix; • Aligning and clarifying definitions; • Making certain optional fields required; • Changing the language and ethnicity code references; • Adding Arkansas Medicaid aid category codes; • Adding placeholder fields; and • Other technical updates. Code Ann. § 23-61-901, et seq. and other applicable laws or rules. Pursuant to AID Rule 100, Section 7B, notice is hereby given that public comment will be accepted for 30 days on material revisions to the DSG beginning October 21, 2021 and ending November 19, 2021 at 4:30 pm. You may use arapcd@uams.edu or iimmy.harris@arkansas.gov to submit comments. AID and the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement, the administrator of the Transparency Initiative's allpayer claims database, will review comments with the Commissioner prior to issuing a revised DSG. The revised DSG will be effective for data files to be submitted not less than 120 days after the posting of the final revised version of the DSG on the AID website. All interested persons are encouraged to submit comments, statements or opinions to AID and/or ACHI.
