R18-4-201. Enforcement

A. A water supplier who constructs, operates, or maintains a public water system contrary to the provisions of this Chapter or fails to maintain the quality of water within the public water system as required by this Chapter is subject to the actions provided in A.R.S. §§ 49-142 and 49-354. B. If the Department determines that a public water system is not in compliance with any of the provisions of this Chapter, the Department may issue an order to the water supplier that requires the public water system to make no further service connections or that limits the number of service connections until the Department determines that the public water system achieves compliance. C. The Department may determine compliance or initiate enforcement action based upon analytical results and other information compiled by the Department or other federal, state, or local agencies. D. The Department shall round compliance data to the same number of significant figures as the MCL in question to determine compliance with the MCL.
