505 DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION – TOILETS AND URINALS, ENCLOSED 505.1 Toilet facilities shall be provided in accordance with Section 506 and the International Plumbing Code (2006 edition), Subtitle F (Plumbing Code Supplement) of Title 12 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations. 505.2 A toilet room located on the premises shall be completely enclosed and provided with a tight-fitting and self-closing door, except that this requirement does not apply to a toilet room that is located outside a tanning facility. 505.3 Toilet room doors shall be kept closed except during cleaning and maintenance operations.
