called the Board , issued a Decision and Direction of Elections in
this proceeding.,
Pursuant to the Direction of Elections , elections
by secret ballot were conducted on January 16, 1941, under the direc-
tion and supervision of the Regional Director for the Twenty-first
Region
(Los
Angeles,
California ).
On January 16, 1941, the
Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of
National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2,
as amended , issued an Election Report in respect to each election
and duly served such reports upon the parties.
No objections to
the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report for either election
have been filed by any, of the parties.

Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela-
tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and
9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series
2, as amended,
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Retail Clerks International Protec-
tive Association, Local 905, A. F. of L., has been designated and
selected by a majority of all employees of Montgomery" Ward &
Company, Incorporated, San Pedro, California, at its San Pedro,
California, store, including sale's clerks, warehousemen, teamsters,
and electricians, but excluding the store manager, the assistant
manager, office. employees, and the extra office girl in the warehouse,
as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and
chat pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act,
Retail Clerks International Protective Association, Local 905, A. F.
of L., is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the
purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages,
hours of employment, and other conditions of employment; and
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that United Office & Professional Workers
of America, Local #9, C. I. 0., has been designated and selected
by a majority of all office employees of Montgomery Ward & Com-
pany, Incorporated, San Pedro, California, at its San Pedro, Cali-
fornia, store, including the extra office girl in the warehouse but
excluding the store manager and the assistant manager, as their
representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and that,
pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act,
United Office & Professional Workers of America, Local #9, C. I. O., -
is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes
of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of
employment, and other conditions of employment.
