10008.4 - Achieving Compliance (Rev. 221; Issued: 05-10-24; Effective: 05-10-24; Implemetation:05-10-24) Achieving compliance is the HHA’s or hospice program’s responsibility, whether or not a DPOC is followed. If the HHA or hospice program fails to achieve compliance within the timeframes specified in the DPOC, CMS may impose one or more additional alternative sanctions/remedies until the HHA or hospice program achieves compliance or is terminated from the Medicare program.
