Acknowledgment

5500.2 - Acknowledgment (Rev. 234; Issued: 09-12-25; Effective: 09-12-25; Implementation: 09-12-25) If the complainant is known, the SA promptly issues written acknowledgment, e.g., email or letter, that the complaint is being investigated. The SA should not delay acknowledgment pending an investigation unless the investigation takes place within three working days. The SA must take appropriate precautions to protect the complainant’s anonymity and privacy. The SA maintains a copy or record of the notification with the complaint documentation.
