FAST SEALIFT TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

SEC. 213. FAST SEALIFT TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (a) New Program.—The Secretary of the Navy is authorized to establish a Fast Sealift Technology Development program for the purposes of completing, within 24 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the technology development program described in the January 1989 report of the Secretary to Congress entitled “Fast Sealift Program Technology Assessment Report”. (b) Funding.—Of the amount authorized to be appropriated pursuant to section 201 for the Navy for fiscal year 1990, $15,000,000 shall be available for the Fast Sealift Technology Development program.
