TACTICAL OCEANOGRAPHY PROGRAM

SEC. 214. TACTICAL OCEANOGRAPHY PROGRAM (a) New Program.—The Secretary of the Navy is authorized to establish a Tactical Oceanography program to accelerate uses of scientific measurement and data collection devices and processes for the purpose of rapid tactical applications. (b) Funding.—Of the amount authorized to be appropriated pursuant to section 201 for the Navy for fiscal year 1990, $3,000,000 shall be available for the Tactical Oceanography program.
