PRODUCTION OF THE 155–MILLIMETER ARTILLERY-FIRED, ATOMIC PROJECTILE

SEC. 3155. PRODUCTION OF THE 155–MILLIMETER ARTILLERY-FIRED, ATOMIC PROJECTILESection 1635 of the Department of Defense Authorization Act, 1985 (Public Law 98–525; 98 Stat. 2649), is amended— (1) in subsection (b), by striking out the period at the end of paragraph (2) and inserting in lieu thereof “, not including amounts spent exclusively to ensure the safety and security of the warheads.”; and (2) by adding at the end the following new subsection: “(d) The Secretary of Energy and the Secretary of Defense shall jointly submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the implementation of this section and shall include in such report the number of projectiles referred to in subsection (b) that have been produced and the total amount obligated for the production of such projectiles. Such report shall be submitted at the same time that the President submits the budget for fiscal year 1991 to Congress pursuant to section 1105 of title 31, United States Code.”.
