SEC. 6141. PHYSICIAN OFFICE LABS. (a) In General.—Section 1861(s) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395x(s)) is amended— (1) in the matter following paragraph (14), by striking “which is independent” and all that follows through “per year,” and inserting the following: “, including a laboratory that is part of”; (2) by redesignating paragraph (16) as subparagraph (B); and (3) by inserting immediately after paragraph (16) the following: (4) 6)(A) meets the certification requirements under section 353 of the Public Health Service Act; and”. (b) Effective Date.—The amendments made by subsection (a) shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act.
