AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.

SEC. 231. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.There are authorized to be appropriated to the United States Information Agency for the Voice of America for carrying out title V of the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 and the Radio Broadcasting to Cuba Act the following amounts: (1) Salaries and expenses.— For “Salaries and Expenses”, $170,024,000 for the fiscal year 1990 and $176,825,000 for the fiscal year 1991. (2) Acquisition and construction of radio facilities.— For “Acquisition and Construction of Radio Facilities”, $69,000,000 for the fiscal year 1990 and $122,000,000 for the fiscal year 1991. (3) Radio broadcasting to cuba.— For “Radio Broadcasting to Cuba”, $12,700,000 for the fiscal year 1990 and $13,208,000 for the fiscal year 1991. (4) VOA Europe.— For “VOA Europe”, $3,000,000 for the fiscal year 1990 and $3,120,000 for the fiscal year 1991.
